Firstly, I’d like to wish everybody a great Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to remember your blessings. I am blessed to have all of you.
Union members at East Coast ports are being told to save now for a potential strike when the contract expires in September next year. This couldn’t come at a worse time:
- The Panama Canal is running at significantly reduced capacity.
- Shipping companies are now breakeven at best.
- Additional ships coming online will further depress pricing.
